Cat Travel Requirements for the United States

We are moving back to Colorado, USA in March 2014. Our cat just had a rabies vaccination on 2 Jan. 2014. Does she need any other requirements to return to the States where she came from? She is microchipped and has a pet passport.

Hi Helena,

Great question. Moving to the United States will require that you meet the rules outlined here. It sounds like you're in good shape regarding rabies, etc., but you will also need to have an international health certificate issued by your vet within 10 days of travel stating that your cat is fit to fly (this is required by the airlines).
