Hello,
I am so happy to hear about your company. A gentleman at the IDA in Ireland suggested you.

I am planning a move from New Orleans to Dublin in September. I have been researching quarantine times etc. for Ireland but cannot seem to find a straight answer and/or the correct requirements for bringing a dog and cat into Ireland.

Also, I believe that I have to get pet passports for them and I heard this takes up to 6 months? Please let me know if you know anything about this and I so look forward to working with you.

Thanks,

Whitney

Hi Whitney,

We're glad to hear you found us and would love to assist! First, kudos to you for getting a head start on your move. It can take several weeks to plan an international pet move, so it's definitely smart to allow yourself plenty of time.

Here are the import requirements for pets going to Ireland as outlined by the USDA. Your dog and cat need to be microchipped if not already, and this needs to take place before they are vaccinated against rabies. You'll find a link to the required health certificate and instructions for filling it out by following the above link, as well.

We'd be happy to discuss this move further with you over the phone or via email, Whitney. Feel free to contact our office or fill out our free quote form at your convenience, especially if you you're interested in finding out more about our services. Some people choose to handle their moves themselves while others choose to enlist the help of a company like ours, and we are certainly available to go over your options with you.

Thanks for getting in touch with us, and we hope to hear from you soon!
