Dear PetRelocation,

Please advise me about the details involved with moving my dog to the United States. Are there any vaccinations required? Is there a quarantine required in the US?

Thanks,

Nicola

Hi Nicola,

Thanks for your questions, we'd be happy to offer some guidance.

Moving to the United States from Singapore is much easier than it would be the other way around -- The US has no quarantine for entering pets, and you essentially just need proof of an updated rabies vaccine and a health certificate issued by your vet. Take a look here at the full US pet import requirements.

That's not to say this process won't take some time and effort, though. You also need to make sure you have the right travel crate for your dog, and we highly recommend using a pet friendly airline with an established pet program. We often use KLM, United and Lufthansa for our pet flights, for example.

If you think you'd like further help and have questions about the services we provide, please contact us.

Either way, thanks again for reaching out and good luck with your future pet travels!
