Pet Travel Q&A: How to Export Pets From China

Hi PetRelocation,

I'd like to respectfully request for information/requirements for importing my cat from Manila to Beijing and then from Beijing to Los Angeles to Las Vegas on Air China.

Thanks,

Edna

Hi Edna,

Thank you for submitting a question to us! We recently published an article that has information about importing pets to China and exporting pets from China. Take a look here to get started.

As you'll see, China can be tricky to enter with a pet due to their quarantine requirements for certain arrival ports. Your cat will need to have a rabies vaccination administered within the last year and more than 30 days before departure, but other details will vary depending on where and how you decide to enter the country. Entry into the United States is much more straightforward.

If you'd like to fully discuss your options, contact us for a personalized consultation -- we have China experts on staff who would be happy to assist you. We've helped many pet owners navigate the China pet shipping process and would be happy to assist you, too.

Hopefully this helps you get started, Edna. Good luck and let us know if we can be of assistance!
