Pet Travel Question: International Pet Shipping Decisions

Hello,

We are moving from Singapore to Alabama next year. We are Irish and will possibly return to Ireland for two months before moving to Alabama. Obviously we want to take our pet with us, so we're just wondering if we should send her from Singapore directly or bring her home to Ireland and then on to Alabama. Does it make a difference regarding quarantine?

Though there is no actual quarantine you'll need to fulfill, more traveling means more time, money, and stress for you and your dog, so it will require some serious thought on your part as well as a talk with your vet to decide what will work best for you. The decision will also depend on how comfortable your dog is with traveling. Some pets would do just fine with your proposed scenario, while others would be better off spending minimal time in the air.
