Shipping Pets US from the Dominican Republic

I want to ship a dog from the dominican republic to a friend in the United States, but i am not sure if i have to fly with the dog or if i can just send her from here.
 

 

You can likely arrange a flight for your dog on a pet friendly airline to the United States, however during the summer months, it can be somewhat difficult.  Many pet airlines put temperature restrictions on shipping pets during the summer and coming from Latin and South America this can be even more difficult due to an increased amount of holiday travelers.
Your best bet would be to contact the airlines that fly out of DR to see whehter they will allow your dog to fly.
