Moving Overseas with a Large Dog: Arnold’s Story

With COVID-19 dictating all aspects of international travel, it can be tricky to try to navigate moving across the world, especially with pets. That's what Arnold's family found while planning their move to the UK. So, instead of worrying, they let PetRelocation arrange it for them. Here's what they had to say about working with us! 

We could not have asked for a more thoughtful, caring and compassionate service. They made completing an international move during a pandemic a breeze!  Our initial consult with Kathy was excellent and after reviewing many different companies, we chose PetRelocation for their exceptional communication, especially in regards to the Covid-19 situation. They were incredibly well informed and were the only company to provide us with information about how this would affect our travel plans.

Thereafter, we had Nick as our relocation coordinator who oversaw the whole move. Nick's meticulous attention to detail and incredible communication throughout was second to none. At every step, Nick was available to answer all of our questions and was incredibly empathetic providing support at every step of the way. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Arnold, our large dog, had to fly out of a different airport. This understandably set our nerves on edge. Nick was incredibly patient at discussing all of our options. We were so fortunate to have an incredible agent who accompanied Arnold on our behalf to New York. Terri, our transporter, reached out ahead of time to introduce herself to us and to understand our boy a little better. He is a nervous rescue dog and Terri took her time to get to know him and had such fantastic, calm energy that he took to her immediately.

Both Terri and Nick kept us well informed of Arnold's progress by sending us pictures along the way and ensuring that we were updated at every opportunity. They both followed up with us to ensure that Arnold was settling into his new home. Gemma, the agent in the UK, was on hand to answer questions and to facilitate Arnold's release from quarantine.
